Plain-language terms for using janahang.com, including Kind Keys.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By using this site, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. Kind Keys asks you to agree to both before it writes anything for you. If you don't agree, please don't use Kind Keys.
2. Who can use Kind Keys
You must be 16 or older and use your own name and an email address you control.
3. What Kind Keys is (and isn't)
- Kind Keys writes short encouraging notes and poems. They're written on the spot by AI and may sometimes be imperfect or not fit your situation.
- It's meant to brighten your day. It is not professional advice of any kind: not medical, mental-health, legal or financial advice, and not a substitute for help from a qualified person.
- If you're in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, please contact local emergency services or a crisis line right away. In the US, call or text 988. Elsewhere, find a helpline at findahelpline.com.
4. Fair use and limits
- Each person can request up to 2 notes per day, and Kind Keys types a limited number of notes each day in total. When the limit is reached, please come back tomorrow.
- Don't try to get around the limits (for example with several email addresses), use bots or scripts, use someone else's email address, or interfere with the site.
- I may pause or end Kind Keys, change the limits, or block misuse at any time.
5. Your note
You're welcome to keep, print and share the notes you receive for personal, non-commercial use. A small "janahang.com/kind-keys" credit on the download is appreciated but you may crop it.
6. Emails
Signing in sends you a one-time code by email. You'll only get blog emails if you ticked the box asking for them, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
7. The rest of the site
Everything else on janahang.com (writing, photos, logos and design) belongs to me unless stated otherwise. Please don't copy or reuse it without permission. Views are my own and do not represent my employer.
8. No warranty
The site and Kind Keys are provided "as is", free of charge, without warranties of any kind. They may be unavailable or contain mistakes.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, I'm not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any decision you make based on a note or anything else on this site.
10. Your information
How I collect, use and keep your information, including keeping Kind Keys records for up to 7 years and how to have them deleted sooner, is explained in the Privacy Policy.
11. Changes
I may update these terms. The date and version at the top will change, and Kind Keys will ask you to agree to the new version.
12. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, USA, without affecting any rights you have under the law where you live.
